The explanation
I created this site with one goal in mind: create something real, a home base, for Pistol Fanny's Hank & Delilah. And that's what I tried to do here. I wanted to bring parts of the story to life through the internet-- something that could be interactive, that could add to the story, and make it fun. Which, to be honest, this story is, and I can't express how much I enjoyed writing it. Hank & Delilah hooked me the moment I heard, "I wanted to rob a bank." And my response was, "I like you already, kid. Let's proceed with this crazy but thrilling tale you seem to be spinning."
Just like that, the ride cranked to life.
Most of this site is a mock-up. There's no Pistol Fanny's Hank & Delilah, The Live Show. There's no show called Marty and Nilla, the '30s Killer. There is no Pistol Fanny's in Nashville. Not in this reality, anyway, except on paper. And that's exactly why I decided to spend hours (yes, I am not as website savvy as I'd like to be, and through this process I have gotten to know myself better-- I am much too picky, of this I'm sure) working on this. Maybe I wanted a place to visit when I wanted the realism I experienced in my book to be tangible in an internet sort of way. And As time moves forward, I will be adding more to it.
I hope you enjoy this site as much I did making it.
I'm sure Hank, Delilah, and the rest of the People Living in my Head, are glad to have you. Especially Freud. He's waiting to meet you.
XoXo,
Annie Rose Welch
